Studio

The people you meet at the start are the people who ship.

Outside The Box is a design and development studio in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, founded in 2020, and works with clients across North America. Strategy, design and code happen in the same room, so decisions get made quickly and the work does not change hands.

Since 2020

Outside The Box opened in Calgary in 2020. Since then we have designed and built websites, online stores and software for clients across North America, and started products of our own.

6

years since we opened in Calgary

3

9

sectors we have worked in

Sectors so far: specialty coffee, counselling, B2B software, restaurant software, equipment rental, AI tooling, talent, city publishing and golf.

What we believe

Three things we hold ourselves to on every project.

  • Excellence

We want to be good at this, so we keep learning and keep improving how we work.

  • Integrity

We do what we say. If something slips, you hear it from us first.

  • Curiosity

We question how things are usually done and look for simpler ways to do them.

The people

Everyone here works directly with clients. There is no account layer between you and the people doing the work.
